Ranking symbols

Had some boredoom some time ago and created this ones with Oldum.

Showed them to Tommeh and Orley and seemed they like them.

this are not the official ones at the moment... the official symbols you find on our wikipage.

this ones are free to use for everything (signatures, transbars and so on)

Looks good to me. Where do you plan to fit those in our RP posts exactly?

The second version looks better since you don't have to bend your head to see what rank you are

However...I think that maybe you can make a little bit more diversity in the medals or so to say several versions..

Example:

A Commander using a Bastet (or agile VHF) has a bastet in his rank while somebody using a bomber has a sekmenth

Got the idea?

Ohh and a commander can use a GB and a captain and up to colonel can use cruiser

just used them as symbols.

its not meant to show whats the biggest ship the rank can use.

also there was no big development behind it...

or a simple fix with the shipthing:
i cut off the shipsymbold

Can be used for signatures, transmissionbars.
maybe (if you want to use them as official ones) place them over the ranks insted of "Ensign"... etc.
you can use them in promotion posts too if you want... whatever

Nice, though Ophi did something like this before. I think new ranks are added since that and have been edited by someone else.. I might find picture here so you can evolve on his work maybe?

Hmph.. ok I thought you didn't know about them. I like them. Well if you can came up with better ones that aren't including ships I am all for it.

Instead of ship maybe add order symbol (pyramid thing with the eye).


Edit: Ehmn.. I am not saying these are bad, they are good. But you can do a lot better.

Way better.

Because top sign ends up with triangle shape you could make it smaller to fit like it's part of bottom ( eye ) part to form pyramid.

yeah sead... your symbols are fine (most of them)

the higher ranks are to flooded with stuff in my opinion.

Ranks after Commodore are all the same apart from stars. Anyway I am not sure what to do with them to make them simpler, less flooded.

What if I remove stars and change colors so..

I'll think of something I guess while I work on them, open for more suggestions.

Cool, but where're you going to apply them? Generic signatures for the Order members, transmission bars, or what?

Signatures, even bars.. where ever you want to put them.

Anyway, working on new set. It's basically same just aligning it better, making them a bit less flooded, adding few things and trying to find out something nice for Tier 4.
If we weren't Order I could use starts, but frankly triangles fit better for us.

So imagine something like ensign rank basic triangle,so what shape could we use for Rear, Mid and Fleet admiral?

I like position of three starts, so positions will stay same just need something to replace star to fit Order.

And maybe one more sign, shape that would make Tier 4 stand out from others. They are admirals after all.

I though about Eye of Horus too.. but we have already one eye, I checked Winged sun thing, not sure. Have no idea.

Edit: Tri-star? Star with three points.. what ever is it called? That could fit maybe.. or something else.
